You will execute field testing and commissioning activities for signaling systems across multiple MBTA sites in Boston.
Responsibilities
Execute test activities under the direction of client test engineers and managers.
Perform testing on switch machines, track circuits (PF and AF), signals, and microprocessors including VPI, Mikrolok, or Electrologix.
Complete technical documentation including test data sheets, discrepancy lists, daily reports, and progress reports (KPIs).
Maintain system integrity, reliability, and fail-safe standards while working in field environments such as train control rooms, bungalows, or wayside tracks.
Provide daily activity updates and weekly project progress reports to ensure adherence to schedules.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in field testing or commissioning environments.
Deep knowledge of signaling principles, troubleshooting, software installation, and log retrieval.
Experience with microprocessors such as VPI, Mikrolok, or Electrologix.
Proficiency with Windows, Wireshark, SSH, and telnet.
Ability to work on-site at locations including Wellington Yard.
Experience working in train control rooms or near wayside tracks.
