Description

You will manage standard cost development and oversee all phases of cost accounting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Establish standard product costs by maintaining current formulations, raw material and packaging requirements, labor, and overhead.
• Analyze and publish monthly manufacturing and yield variance reports.
• Coordinate production and inventory records to generate necessary accounting entries.
• Prepare quarterly product cost forecasts, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
• Perform internal audits, including co-packer or outside warehouse audits as assigned.

Required Skills

• BS in Accounting.
• 4 years of experience in cost accounting.
• 3 years of general accounting experience.
• Proficiency with personal computers and various software programs.
• Experience managing raw material, packaging, labor, and overhead budgets.
• Ability to investigate and analyze variances from standard or budget.

Preferred Skills

• 2 years of experience with ERP systems.
