Description

You will manage operating and capital budgets through technical budgetary exercises and fiscal impact analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate budget funding requests for eligibility and impact on financial plans.
• Analyze expenditure trends, budget variances, and the fiscal impact of management decisions.
• Conduct research and labor costing analysis to support collective bargaining and negotiations.
• Implement and monitor property-based budgeting and coordinate grant funding for community programs.
• Identify solutions for operational issues and recommend methods to improve programs or find new revenues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or related budgetary roles.
• Proficiency with Oracle Financials and Hyperion Financials.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Vlookup and Pivot Tables.
• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
• Ability to evaluate Federal, State, and City budget policy impacts.
• Strong analytical, computing, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills for presenting research and analyses.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of budgeting and planning processes.
• Knowledge of funding protocols associated with Federal, State, and Local agencies.
