Description

You will develop and maintain actuarial models and data-driven processes to support insurance pricing, reserving, and risk management.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain actuarial models, loss development triangles, and IBNR calculations using Python, R, and SQL.
• Automate month-end processes, rate change calculations, and reporting workflows through Python-based scripting.
• Support reserving analysis and the validation of actuarial assumptions for pricing and forecasting.
• Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, and predictive analytics to assess financial impacts and risk exposure.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract and transform large datasets for profitability and business planning analysis.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in financial data analysis or actuarial support.
• Proficiency in Python for advanced data processing and automation.
• Strong experience with SQL for complex data extraction and transformation.
• Working knowledge of R for statistical modeling.
• Hands-on experience with NumPy and Pandas for large-scale data analysis.
• Ability to build controls-oriented queries to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Experience with loss development triangles and incurred but not reported (IBNR) calculations.
• Background in conducting stress testing and scenario analysis.
