You will engineer and maintain network security infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Support the FAP by applying DOD STIGs, NIST, DISA orders, and NSA policy guidelines.
• Identify misconfigurations, rule conflicts, security gaps, and security issues in firewalls and load balancers.
• Optimize rule-sets and enhance the security posture and performance of firewalls and load balancers.
• Oversee and conduct monthly assessments (minimum two firewalls, two load balancers) on JSP and customer devices, generating reports.
• Develop After Action Reports (AARs) and provide recommendations for firewall changes, including JRSS firewalls.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of directly relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum DoD Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• 3+ years of Firewall experience within the DOD environment.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Firepower (Cisco AsA).
• Demonstrated knowledge of implementing Perimeter and Internal Firewalls (physical and virtual).
• Advanced experience managing standard baseline configurations across numerous firewalls.
• Advanced experience evaluating rules to maximize security while minimizing redundancy.
• Certification satisfying DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 requirements upon start.
• Experience with Juniper, Cisco, and Palo Alto technologies.
