Description

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise firewall policies across Palo Alto Networks and Check Point security platforms. Manage rule lifecycle activities including creation, optimization, cleanup, and decommissioning. Configure, review, and troubleshoot firewall routing, including static routes, virtual routers, policy-based forwarding (PBF), and dynamic routing integrations. Manage and troubleshoot Network Address Translation (NAT) policies—static, dynamic, hide, and bidirectional—to ensure secure and accurate traffic flow. Use policy orchestration tools like Tufin to analyze rule bases, streamline workflows, and automate change processes. Analyze logs and correlate events using Splunk to support security operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement firewall policies on Palo Alto Networks and Check Point platforms.
• Manage rule lifecycle activities including creation, optimization, cleanup, and decommissioning.
• Configure and troubleshoot NAT policies and firewall routing to ensure correct traffic pathing.
• Utilize Tufin to analyze rule bases and automate change processes.
• Analyze logs and correlate events using Splunk for security monitoring.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with enterprise firewall technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks and Check Point firewalls.
• Proficiency with policy management tools such as Tufin, FireMon, or AlgoSec.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, NAT, VPN, and DNS.
• Experience with log analysis and event correlation using Splunk.
• Knowledge of network segmentation and core networking concepts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with dynamic routing integrations.
• Familiarity with policy-based forwarding (PBF) configuration.
