Description

Lead installation, support, and migration of firewall platforms while managing approximately 23 independent firewall-as-a-service clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead firewall installation, operation, monitoring, and migration efforts across different vendor platforms.
• Optimize and modify security policies to meet technical demands and security standards.
• Integrate systems into monitoring tools and maintain consistent deployment strategies.
• Collaborate on network engineering deployments, troubleshooting, and general operations.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for firewall operational or security issues.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in network engineering, including route and switch duties.
• 4+ years of direct administration and primary support for modern firewall and VPN platforms.
• 8+ years of IT customer service experience, including incident resolution and direct communication.
• Proven experience with medium to large-size deployments in multi-tenancy environments.
• Expertise in firewall design, deployment, and operation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills within complex network environments.
• Experience maintaining firewall appliances, specifically Fortinet.
• Ability to manage migrations between different vendor firewall platforms.
