Description

Design and develop BMC firmware and manageability software for server hardware.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop BMC firmware using OpenBMC, C, C++, and Python.
• Implement low-level drivers and protocols including I2C, SPI, eSPI, JTAG, and UART.
• Debug hardware and software issues using Linux gcc tools and reference boards.
• Maintain source code using Git and Gerrit review systems.
• Integrate manageability standards such as Redfish, IPMI, PLDM, and MCTP.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of firmware development experience.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python, JavaScript, and Shell Scripting.
• Hands-on experience with OpenBMC stack.
• Knowledge of low-level protocols: I2C, I3C, JTAG, SPI, eSPI, UART, PCIe.
• Linux kernel programming and driver development experience.
• Experience with server manageability architecture.
• Strong debug methodology and skills.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience with Dell iDRAC, CMC, or HP iLo.
• Familiarity with industry-standard manageability protocols beyond IPMI.
