Description

You will design, implement, and maintain firmware for embedded systems, focusing on Linux kernel customization and low-level driver development. You will ensure platform performance and scalability through rigorous debugging and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Customize the Linux kernel, including device drivers, networking protocols, and system configurations.
• Develop and maintain device drivers for sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces.
• Execute board bring-up in collaboration with hardware engineers to ensure platform functionality.
• Integrate and optimize RTOS for time-critical, deterministic applications.
• Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues using hardware debugging tools and techniques.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development.
• Strong proficiency in C programming.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux kernel internals and device driver development.
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS or QNX.
• Hands-on experience with board bring-up and hardware debugging.
• Familiarity with embedded systems architectures and peripherals.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of scripting languages including Python and Bash.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with embedded security and certification standards.
