You will develop and optimize firmware for video codec drivers and embedded software stacks.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement video encoder/decoder pipeline firmware, including drivers and HAL.
- Optimize firmware code to improve hardware utilization.
- Execute test plans to validate functional, performance, and algorithm requirements.
- Deploy testing tools and automation flows.
- Collaborate with field engineers on video transcoding implementation.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in software or firmware engineering.
- Domain expertise in video codecs (H.264, H.265, VP9, or AV1).
- Strong programming proficiency in C and C++.
- Deep understanding of computer architecture.
- Hands-on experience debugging low-level and system-level software stacks on embedded systems.
- Experience with event-driven and multi-threaded real-time programming.
- Proven ability to work within cross-functional engineering teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with embedded CPU programming using RISC-V.
- Experience with embedded OS such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS.
- Knowledge of video encoding algorithms, including rate control, frame type decision, and quality measurement.
