Description

You will apply computer science and mathematical analysis to design, develop, test, and evaluate embedded software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, and debug firmware for production-quality, fail-safe real-time system control.
• Implement power-management, boot loaders, scheduling, and RTOS functionality.
• Develop and support embedded software for demonstrations.
• Collaborate across research and engineering disciplines to drive system-level solutions.
• Diagnose hardware and firmware problems using experimental design and hardware instrumentation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software design and programming using C/C++.
• Experience with real-time operating systems such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS.
• Experience with ARM Cortex M0/M3/M4 architecture, including boot mechanisms and interrupt priorities.
• Experience configuring peripherals including USB, SPI, MIPI CSI/DSI, I2C, UART, and GPIO.
• Experience analyzing hardware, power consumption, clock-level issues, and clock gating.
• Proficiency using oscilloscopes and logic/protocol analyzers for hardware-level debugging.
• Ability to translate device documentation into software solutions.
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
