Description

You will develop firmware for a custom SoC within a research environment, integrating image sensors with MCUs and hardware acceleration blocks.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware to integrate custom image sensors with an MCU and interface with custom hardware acceleration blocks.
• Write firmware for sensor interfacing, including IMU, barometers, and magnetometers.
• Build bootloaders and test applications to interface with various peripherals.
• Test developed firmware against hardware and document designs and performance analysis.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in firmware or embedded software development using C.
• 2+ years of experience developing firmware with multi-core SoCs or MCUs.
• Experience with Zephyr OS, FreeRTOS, or other RTOS.
• Strong proficiency in C and Embedded Software development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, software engineering, or a relevant field.
• Ability to work autonomously with little to no supervision.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with MIPI C-PHY, image sensors, and DSPs.
• Experience with C++, I3C, SPI, UART, USB Audio, and file systems.
• Knowledge of bootloaders on small MCUs and larger SoCs, plus low power optimization.
