Description

You will own the development and maintenance of embedded Linux platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and customize Linux OS images using Yocto or Debian-based systems.
• Integrate kernel modules, device drivers, and BSPs while optimizing boot time and resource usage.
• Develop C/C++/Python services for data acquisition, buffering, and routing edge ML models.
• Implement secure boot, manage certificates, and support OTA firmware updates with rollback protection.
• Design system health telemetry and implement watchdog/auto-recovery mechanisms for remote diagnostics.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in embedded systems development.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
• Experience building and customizing Linux OS images (Yocto/Debian).
• Knowledge of networking protocols: DHCP, DNS, MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, NAT.
• Experience integrating with cloud services, specifically AWS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Experience bringing up and testing peripherals like Wi-Fi, LTE, and GPIO.
• Understanding of kernel tuning and performance profiling (CPU, memory, I/O).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with REST APIs and general system middleware integration.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
