Description

Design and model fixtures for vehicle part containment during welding, painting, assembly, and testing. Own the fixture design lifecycle from concept to supplier data delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design and model fixtures in CATIA V5/V6 for vehicle part containment.
• Incorporate body part construction, datum information, and weld data into designs.
• Perform layout checks with stakeholders to ensure all design requirements are met.
• Export 3D and 2D data to suppliers for quoting and procurement.
• Develop data for interior design evaluation and aerodynamic wind tunnel test models.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 for 3D modeling and design.
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledge of vehicle construction and assembly processes.
• Ability to interpret body part construction and datum requirements.
• Basic mechanical and electrical skills.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
