Description
You will design, implement, and verify FPGA and PLD hardware for safety-critical environments.
Responsibilities
- Capture and refine product specifications into device-level requirements, functional architecture, and derived requirements.
- Implement requirements using VHDL code, incorporating existing IPs and standard protocols such as Ethernet, SPI, I2C, AMBA, or Omnibus.
- Write and debug firmware code specifically for FPGA devices.
- Perform testing, verification, and troubleshooting of FPGA implementations to resolve design issues.
- Apply DO-254 or similar guidelines to maintain a safe and rigorous design process.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in FPGA or PLD development.
- Proficiency in VHDL or similar hardware description languages.
- Experience working within aerospace, defense, or medical product environments.
- Practical knowledge of DO-254 or equivalent safety-critical design standards.
- Hands-on experience with standard protocols including Ethernet, SPI, I2C, AMBA, and Omnibus.
- Ability to define functional architecture and requirement allocation.
- Experience in firmware debugging and hardware verification.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate-level education.
