Description

You will design, develop, and test low-level software and FPGA HDL that interfaces with electronic control hardware.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and document new software features and processes.
• Perform requirements analysis, decomposition, and functional specification authoring.
• Manage the software lifecycle using version control and configuration management.
• Develop and test FPGA HDL, I/O drivers, OS integration, and boot sequences.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and implement system changes to resolve them.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience with real-world FPGA design and HDL.
• Mastery of HDL design and the synthesis process from specification through place-and-route.
• Strong programming experience in C or C++.
• Extensive knowledge of embedded computer hardware and chip-level interfacing.
• Experience with device drivers, SPI/I2C peripheral interfacing, and non-volatile memory interfacing.
• Proficiency in board initialization, hardware diagnostics, and operating system configurations.
• Ability to read and interpret component schematics and data sheets.
• Experience with Agile software development processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with control software design patterns and anti-patterns.
• Background in designing embedded electronics controls, display, or telematics software.
