Description

You will design, test, and document safety-critical hardware for high-reliability embedded aerospace and ground-based vehicle systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own the full FPGA/CPLD design lifecycle, including requirements generation, RTL synthesis, and design simulation.
• Develop test benches and perform requirements-based design verification, static timing, and power analysis.
• Support prototype evaluation, design reviews, qualification testing, and system integration.
• Manage design-to-cost tradeoffs and provide production and obsolescence support.

Required Skills

• 5-10+ years of circuit design experience with demonstrated ability to design HDL-based FPGAs and CPLDs.
• Deep knowledge of DO-254 and hardware development objectives.
• Proficiency in Hardware Description Languages (VHDL, SystemVerilog).
• Experience with state machines, code coverage, and UVM test benches.
• Hands-on experience with hardware build, test, and integration.
• Familiarity with FPGA integration into digital circuit card designs to ensure electrical integrity.
• Ability to work with requirements management, configuration management, and problem reporting tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with microprocessor/microcontroller interfaces (I2C, SPI, CAN bus, ARINC-825) and memory interfaces (SDRAM, Flash, SRAM).
• Familiarity with serial interfaces such as MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, RS422, RS485, or ARINC-664.
