You will investigate and resolve reported fraud by conducting holistic reviews of transactions, account profiles, and client behavior to mitigate risk.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve fraud cases through transaction reviews and client interviews to establish fact patterns.
• Manage caseloads efficiently, ensuring timely client outreach and adherence to EWS/Zelle reporting standards.
• Collaborate with Fraud Strategy to identify recurring fraud themes and propose actionable decisions.
• Execute recovery efforts on reported fraudulent transactions to recuperate financial losses.
• Document findings and prepare concise reports for regulatory reporting and internal stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in a financial crime role.
• Deep understanding of payment fraud, fraud schemes, and common scams.
• Experience conducting payment fraud investigations and researching debit card fraud.
• Knowledge of BSA/AML requirements, suspicious activity reports, and applicable regulations.
• Ability to perform data extraction and apply analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in researching fraudulent authorizations to mitigate reputational and financial risk.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining case resolutions to internal clients.
• Expertise in Excel, Access, Business, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of financial services industry products, processes, and banking security issues.
• Previous experience in a client service or hospitality-based role.
