Portal experience: Build and customise the developer portal's user experience — catalogue pages, entity views, dashboards and developer home pages — on Port.io.
Self-service UX: Design and build the forms and flows behind self-service actions: sensible defaults, validation, clear feedback and error states.
Custom components: Develop custom UI components, widgets and visualisations (e.g. scorecard views, adoption dashboards) using React/TypeScript.
Usability and accessibility: Apply consistent design patterns, responsive layouts and accessibility standards across the portal.
Feedback loops: Instrument the portal to understand usage; iterate on experiences based on developer feedback and adoption data.
Quality engineering: Write component tests and documentation; participate actively in code review and apply the team's engineering standards.
Agile delivery: Participate fully in sprint ceremonies within a distributed team spanning the UK, Portugal and India.
Required Experience
3+ years: in front-end engineering.
React and TypeScript: Solid production experience building applications with React and TypeScript, including state management and component design.
API integration: Comfortable consuming REST APIs and handling asynchronous data in the UI.
UX craft: Good instincts for usability, information design and consistent visual patterns; able to work from lightweight designs and iterate.
Engineering habits: Good Git workflow, testing and code review discipline; experience in agile/sprint-based teams.
Communication: Clear written and spoken English for daily collaboration with UK and Portugal colleagues.
