Description

You will build and maintain web-based GIS solutions, migrating tools from GeoCortex to VertiGIS Studio and adding new functionality for operational needs.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Migrate existing tools and features from GeoCortex to VertiGIS Studio.
• Design, build, and deploy web-based GIS solutions tailored to stakeholder requirements.
• Implement new features, such as hourly Fire Weather Index layers with interpolation.
• Ensure accessibility compliance (AODA / WCAG 2.0 Level AA) across all UI components.
• Collaborate in an agile environment to stabilize and refine application functionality.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks, specifically React.
• Hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS, and responsive UI design principles.
• Experience customizing mapping applications using GIS SDKs.
• Knowledge of ArcGIS REST API, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS Portal administration.
• Familiarity with ESRI-based GIS technologies and web mapping platforms.
• Experience developing applications compliant with AODA.
