Description

You will own frontend implementation across Drupal theming, Web Design System components, page templates, and accessibility remediation during build and migration phases.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build mockups and site themes using Web Design System components and Twig.
• Implement header, navigation, and page templates, including manual page builds during content migration.
• Migrate frontend components from legacy systems to new templates and handle frontend redirect logic.
• Apply accessibility fixes for WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance and resolve UI/UX defects during QA.
• Document UI components for governance and apply bug fixes during hyper-care.

Required Skills

• Minimum 4 years of frontend development experience with 5+ years preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Drupal theming using Twig.
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript.
• Experience implementing design systems such as USWDS or equivalent.
• Proven track record of accessibility-aware development adhering to WCAG 2.1 standards.
• Ability to perform feasibility reviews for UI patterns and strategic brief inputs.
• Experience with large-scale content migration and legacy system remediation.

Preferred Skills

• Acquia Certified Frontend Specialist certification.
• Experience with state or federal accessibility audits.
