Description

You will design OSP engineering packages using ARAMIS systems for AT&T projects.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Create cost-effective Aerial, Underground, and Buried cable designs.
• Verify existing underground and aerial facilities against customer, city, and field records.
• Identify and solve cable path or placement issues to update construction routes.
• Ensure design packages adhere to customer quality metrics, specifications, and guidelines.
• Validate that all designs follow the provided scope of work and plan.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in OSP Design.
• Hands-on experience with ARAMIS systems.
• Proficiency in FTTH, Fiber, and OSP drafting and designing.
• Strong understanding of Outside Plant Copper and Fiber Optic Cable construction (UG, Aerial, Buried, BIC).
• Knowledge of manhole and conduit design.
• Experience with Fiber Overbuild, LightGig, ASE, ABF, CAAS, and BAU technologies.
• Knowledge of Fiber backbone (F1) and distribution networks (F2).
• Knowledge of Corning Flexnap cable design and terminal placement.
• Familiarity with permitting processes for highways, railroads, cities, and counties.

Preferred Skills

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Working knowledge of Google Earth and Google Maps.
