Description

Lead the design and implementation of scalable test automation frameworks across web, mobile, and API platforms, ensuring quality considerations are baked in from the start.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement AI-augmented, scalable test automation frameworks for microservices and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to refine business requirements, identify ambiguities, and define comprehensive testing strategies.
• Develop and execute unit, functional, and integration tests while troubleshooting software issues in a large codebase.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to technical documentation to improve maintainability.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering industry experience, including 5+ years building backend software.
• Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and/or Python with test frameworks such as JUnit or Pytest.
• Experience with distributed messaging systems like Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS), containerization, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS).
• Deep understanding of CI/CD principles and tools for integrating automated testing into deployment pipelines.
• Proven ability to design clean, extensible APIs and translate complex business requirements into testable solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to batch processing systems and large-scale microservices architectures.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to visualize and document complex processes.
