Full stack AWS Developer

Responsibilities

• Full stack cloud developer who can work in both frontend and backend pieces within AWS.
• Develop the required technical pieces/ end-to-end solutions for multi layered applications on a variety of technology stacks.
• Responsible to design, develop and deploy application servers.
• Take ownership of maintaining and improving customer-facing website.
• Should be comfortable to start the development from scratch and work through all phases of product development.
• Participate in the conversion of existing in-house applications to modern web apps.
• Provide guidance and expertise on proven or upcoming technology and how it impacts the existing IT organization.

Required Skills

• Ability to write Lambda functions using Python.
• Should be comfortable with XML and XSLT to work with ACORD XMLs files.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework & Spring Boot Application, Micro services, Spring Boot, Web services based on SOAP/REST.
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS and React.
• Good Communication Skills.

Required Experience

• Experience developing REST webservices in AWS Lambda.
• Prior experience working with an insurance carrier.
• Agile/Scrum working experience.
• Must have programming experience with Core Java / J2EE application, XML and Web Services.
• Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries and Unix scripting.
• Strong AWS Experience including AWS Code Build, AWS CodeCommit, AWS Code Pipeline, AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Cloud Formation, Serverless Deployment.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
