Description

You will design, develop, and maintain full stack applications for data ingestion, processing, and visualization. You build real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures. You develop backend services and APIs with Java (Spring Boot) and create UI components using React, Angular, or Vue. You ensure data quality and performance across distributed systems while collaborating with stakeholders to translate healthcare data requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka.
• Develop backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Create or support UI components for data-driven applications.
• Integrate streaming and batch data pipelines with data engineering teams.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes.

Required Skills

• 8–10 years of full stack development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, streams).
• Experience building scalable, distributed systems and real-time data pipelines.
• Working knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment supporting EST hours.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in healthcare domain (HIPAA, PHI, clinical/claims data) or familiarity with FHIR/HL7 standards.
• Exposure to modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
• Knowledge of data platforms such as Databricks or Spark.
