Description

Build and maintain web applications from front to back, translating business requirements into technical designs.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain source code across the full stack.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Create and execute unit tests; support functional and system integration testing.
• Design and integrate application components for interoperability.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, maintainability, and security standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years developing web-based applications using Java/J2EE.
• Core Java experience, including multi-threading and Executor framework.
• Proficiency with Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and MyBatis.
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful web services.
• Frontend skills in JavaScript, JSP, CSS, HTML, Angular, and modern JS libraries.
• Knowledge of AJAX, XML/XSLT, and JSON.
• Familiarity with application servers (JBoss, Apache, Tomcat).
• SQL database design, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
• Understanding of web application security best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience developing property & casualty insurance applications.
• Familiarity with performance tuning and scalability strategies.
