Experience Requirements

 

• 7–10 years of professional experience in full-stack development, software engineering, or a closely related role.
• Extensive hands-on engineering experience in asset management or the broader financial services industry.
• Demonstrable experience delivering scalable and secure technology solutions in production environments.
• Strong Python experience, including development with FastAPI and/or Django and implementation of RESTful services.
• Expert frontend development experience using ReactJS, supported by significant UX/UI design experience.
• Experience working across teams to understand requirements, communicate technical decisions, resolve dependencies, and deliver agreed outcomes.
• Experience working independently, taking ownership of assigned responsibilities, and maintaining delivery against agreed priorities.
• Candidates may also qualify through equivalent professional experience, substantial relevant project delivery, or a combination of formal education, technical training, and demonstrable engineering outcomes. 
  
   

Day-to-Day Activities

 

• Design and develop Python-based RESTful services using FastAPI and/or Django, while implementing sophisticated ReactJS interfaces informed by UX/UI requirements.
• Participate in requirements discussions, design reviews, sprint planning, code reviews, testing activities, and collaboration with business, product, design, and technology teams.
• Deliver production-ready code, API documentation, UI components, technical designs, test results, defect fixes, and progress updates for assigned initiatives.
• Make technical decisions within the assigned scope, identify delivery and security risks, resolve issues, and escalate dependencies when decisions require broader review. 
  
   

Qualifications

 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field; equivalent relevant professional experience may also be considered.
• Extensive practical experience delivering scalable and secure software solutions within asset management or the broader financial services industry.
• Relevant training in Python, FastAPI, Django, RESTful services, ReactJS, UX/UI design, secure development, or cloud technologies is preferred.
• Certifications in software engineering, cloud technologies, UX/UI design, or financial technology are preferred but not mandatory unless required for a specific assignment.
• Maintain continuous professional development in full-stack engineering, ReactJS, UX/UI practices, application security, scalable architecture, and financial services technology
