Description

Lead the design and development of distributed applications while coordinating technical tasks across global teams.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development efforts in collaboration with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders.
• Assign, track, and review tasks for team members located in Montreal and India.
• Review and approve code changes and manage builds and deployments in lower environments.
• Support production releases, post-release testing, and resolve production issues with RPE teams.
• Coordinate technical requirements and support with adjacent teams both locally and globally.

Required Skills

• 7 to 12 years of industry experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and frameworks including Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful services, microservices, and clients.
• Experience with Cloud-Native technologies, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
• Solid understanding of data structures, caching, design patterns, and multi-threaded architecture.
• Experience with UI technologies such as React or Angular.
• Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
• Experience working within iterative and agile development practices.

Preferred Skills

• Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Background in the finance industry.
