Description

You will develop, maintain, and scale web applications using Python, Django, and AWS.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Write efficient, high-quality Python and Django code for web applications.
• Design and implement new features, enhancements, and RESTful APIs.
• Integrate third-party services and maintain architecture documentation.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and security standards.
• Participate in code reviews and drive continuous process improvement.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expertise in Python and the Django framework.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3).
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Git and version control workflows.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Experience with at least one frontend framework: React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps principles.
• Shell scripting skills in bash or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Celery, Redis, and data visualization tools like Plotly.
• Knowledge of Tailwind CSS, AlpineJS, Docker, Skaffold, or AWS Parallelcluster.
• Familiarity with R, its ecosystem, and genomics.
