Description

You will modernize legacy applications and integrate them with the state’s new ERP system. This role bridges Classic ASP and modern cloud architectures, requiring close collaboration with business users and database administrators.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing web applications and document technical specifications to develop remediation strategies for impacted systems.
• Refactor codebases from Classic ASP to modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular or React) and update application databases.
• Create complex database views and stored procedures alongside DBAs to support data model integration.
• Manage work tasks, version control, and CI/CD deployments using Azure DevOps within a Scrum environment.
• Conduct technical knowledge transfers with the Office of the Comptroller and Application Services staff.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Proficiency in Classic ASP and ASP.NET for legacy system maintenance.
• Experience building modern UIs with Angular or React.
• Strong SQL skills for SQL Server and/or Oracle, including writing complex logic and stored procedures.
• Understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud platforms and on-premises architectures.
• Familiarity with SDLC best practices and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to architect solutions that integrate data from fragmented sources.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with state or federal financial systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
• Knowledge of enterprise data management concepts including ETL, Data Warehousing, and Data Lakes.
