Description

You will own the full development lifecycle from analysis and design to deployment and post-production defect fixing. This hybrid role in Virginia focuses on a 70/30 split between backend and frontend development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise-grade applications and web services using Java EE and microservices architecture.
• Build and maintain data layers using Hibernate and JPA.
• Manage code delivery pipelines using Maven, Gradle, Ansible, and Jenkins.
• Implement automated testing and maintain high-quality design artifacts using Object Oriented Analysis and Design.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Java (any version) and Spring Boot.
• 2+ years of experience with J2EE patterns and Spring (Core, REST, Boot).
• Proficiency with Angular (version 12 or above) and jQuery.
• Experience with WebLogic, OpenShift, or Docker/Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases including SQL and Sybase.
• Experience with XML, JAXB, XQuery, and XSLT.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful web services and EJBs.
• Competency in Git, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.
• 2+ years of experience working within SAFE Agile, Kanban, or SCRUM frameworks.
• Ability to write Shell scripts and manage build tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Angular 17, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of Selenium and Cucumber for testing.
