Build and modernize web applications while operating secure, automated cloud infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain backend services using Python/Django, Java Spring Boot, or Node.js with secure REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Develop responsive frontend applications using React or Angular, ensuring compliance with USWDS and accessibility standards.
• Operate AWS-hosted environments and implement Infrastructure as Code for repeatable, compliant deployments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, enforcing code quality, security scans, and automated packaging.
• Implement automated test suites with Selenium/WebDriver and maintain cross-browser regression coverage.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience covering both backend and frontend development.
• Strong proficiency in Python (Django/FastAPI), Java (Spring Boot/Quarkus), and Node.js (Express/NestJS).
• Frontend experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (React or Angular) and core web technologies.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS/Aurora, CloudFront, and IAM.
• Database expertise with MongoDB and relational databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle/MySQL).
• Proficiency in Git-based version control and building secure RESTful API integrations.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins, and containerization (Docker).
• Familiarity with test automation using Selenium/WebDriver.
• Understanding of secure authentication (OAuth2.0, SSO) and Zero Trust practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Redis, or message queues (SQS/SNS/Kafka).
