Description

Lead end-to-end development of full-stack applications from design to deployment in Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services, REST APIs, and reusable frontend components.
• Translate business requirements into performant, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
• Manage relational and NoSQL databases, including data modeling and integration with internal and third-party systems.
• Own CI/CD pipelines, build processes, and deployment on cloud platforms and containerized environments.
• Mentor a small team of engineers, drive code reviews, and collaborate with product and QA stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in full-stack development building production-grade applications.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Node.js, or Express.
• Hands-on frontend development using React.js.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Solid understanding of software design, testing, and secure coding practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with microservices architecture, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring, caching, and messaging systems.
• Experience with AI/ML applications, LangChain, vector databases, or RAG frameworks.
