Description

You will manage and maintain a GitLab system hosted on AWS, serving as the central repository for software development projects.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage GitLab operations including upgrades, backups, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate provisioning on AWS.
• Configure and enforce access controls, permissions, and authentication mechanisms.
• Monitor system logs, troubleshoot complex issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Integrate GitLab with CI/CD pipelines and manage AWS resources including EC2, RDS, and S3.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in GitLab administration and management.
• Proficiency with Git version control and GitLab features like GitLab CI/CD and GitLab Runner.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration and command-line interfaces.
• Scripting experience using Python, Ruby, or Bash.
• Database administration knowledge covering MySQL and PostgreSQL.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes on AWS.
• Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK for monitoring and logging.
