Description

You will take complete ownership of an existing full stack application hosted on AWS.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Own the existing full stack application, including architecture, data models, APIs, and integrations.
• Maintain and enhance backend services with Node.js, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Develop and optimize frontend components using React for a seamless user experience.
• Manage and optimize relational databases (MySQL and PostgreSQL) for high availability.
• Implement deployments, monitoring, and cost optimization strategies on AWS.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway).
• Proficiency in Node.js for backend development.
• Expertise in React.js for modern frontend development.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, query optimization).
• Knowledge of REST APIs, authentication, and integration best practices.
• Ability to quickly analyze, document, and own existing systems.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) on AWS.
