Description

You will own the development, debugging, and optimization of e-commerce checkout, payment, and account management systems. You will design and implement solutions using Java, JSP, HTML, CSS, and DB2, while collaborating with architects on availability, reusability, and security. You will perform purepath and waterfall analysis using Dynatrace, Splunk, and browser tools to resolve bottlenecks. Additionally, you will conduct peer code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and implement improvements to increase code quality and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize web application functionality for e-commerce checkout and payment systems.
• Design and implement solutions using Java, JSP, HTML, CSS, and DB2.
• Analyze request performance using Dynatrace, Splunk, and browser tools to identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with Systems Architects to design application architectures focused on availability and security.
• Conduct peer code reviews and mentor junior engineers on engineering best practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Java and JavaScript.
• Experience with JSP-based web application development.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and DB2 databases.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OO) and UI development.
• Experience with MQ series and backend service integration.
• Proven ability to work within an Agile environment.
• Experience with WebSphere Commerce or WebSphere Application Server (WAS).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with React.
