Description

You will build and maintain backend services and internal tools for defined benefit pension and actuarial systems using Java and Spring Boot.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable web services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design relational database schemas and optimize queries in MySQL.
• Implement object-oriented design principles and clean code standards.
• Collaborate with distributed teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Maintain and enhance VBA Excel add-ins for actuarial calculations.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong proficiency in relational databases, specifically MySQL.
• Experience with web services architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Direct experience working with defined benefit pension plans or actuarial systems.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-location Agile teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Familiarity with VBA and Excel add-in development.
