Description

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in front-end engineering, Go, Python, SQL, TypeScript/JavaScript, Angular/React, and experience building scalable web applications, data-driven interfaces, and analytics solutions.

This role requires an engineer who can work across the full technology stack, contribute to technical architecture and design decisions, and actively write and review production-quality code. Candidates should have a strong engineering foundation and be comfortable working with modern web frameworks, backend services, data visualization technologies, and emerging AI/LLM agent architectures.

This is a hands-on engineering role. Candidates whose recent experience is primarily managerial, supervisory, or focused on overseeing development teams are not the target profile.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Development

Design, develop, and maintain modern, scalable, high-performance web applications.

Build responsive and reusable UI components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript/TSX.

Develop applications using modern front-end frameworks and technologies such as Lit, Angular, React, or comparable frameworks.

Work with BoQ Web and BoQ GOA technologies and contribute to front-end architecture and implementation.

Develop reusable component libraries and establish front-end development standards.

Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, accessibility, and maintainability.

Translate functional and technical requirements into clean, production-ready front-end implementations.

Troubleshoot complex UI, browser, integration, and performance issues.

Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance on front-end engineering practices.

Back-End Development

Design and implement scalable backend services, APIs, and application components.

Develop production-quality services using Go, Python, Java, TypeScript, and SQL.

Work with BoQ/TypeScript-based backend technologies and related application services.

Develop and maintain APIs and service integrations supporting full-stack applications.

Write efficient SQL queries and work with relational and structured data.

Develop reliable, testable, and maintainable backend code.

Troubleshoot application, API, data, and integration issues across distributed systems.

Contribute to backend architecture, service design, performance optimization, and scalability.

Collaborate with front-end engineers and other technical teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Analytics & Data Visualization:

Develop interactive and data-driven user interfaces for analytics and reporting.

Work with data visualization libraries and frameworks such as Vega-Lite, Charts, or similar technologies.

Transform complex datasets into intuitive visualizations and actionable user experiences.

Design reusable visualization components and dashboards.

Integrate visualization layers with backend APIs and data services.

Optimize visualization performance when working with large or complex datasets.

Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to ensure accurate representation of data.

AI, Agent Architecture & LLM Integration:

Develop or integrate applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI capabilities.

Demonstrate familiarity with AI agent architectures, agent workflows, and LLM interaction patterns.

Integrate LLM-based capabilities into applications and enterprise workflows.

Work with APIs, prompts, tools, context, and other components involved in LLM-powered applications.

Understand how AI agents can interact with applications, services, APIs, and data sources.

Contribute to the design and implementation of AI-enabled engineering solutions.

Evaluate emerging AI technologies and determine practical approaches for integrating them into existing applications.

Technical Architecture:

Contribute to application and platform architecture across front-end and backend layers.

Define technical approaches, design patterns, reusable components, and engineering standards.

Translate business and technical requirements into scalable full-stack solutions.

Identify technical dependencies, integration requirements, and potential performance bottlenecks.

Provide technical guidance to engineering teams while remaining actively involved in implementation.

Review existing architectures and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Balance scalability, maintainability, performance, security, and development efficiency when making technical decisions.

Required Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with full-stack software development.

Strong front-end development experience with:

HTML

CSS

JavaScript

TypeScript / TSX

Angular and/or React

Lit or similar web component technologies

BoQ GOA

Strong backend development experience with:

Go

Python

SQL

TypeScript

Java

Flume or comparable backend/data technologies

Experience with data visualization and analytics technologies, including Vega-Lite, Charts, or similar frameworks.

Familiarity with AI agent architectures and LLM interactions.

Strong understanding of software architecture, application design, APIs, and distributed systems.

Strong debugging, problem-solving, and code-review skills.

Recent experience writing and delivering production code.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills:

Strong foundational knowledge of Python, Go, Angular, and React.

Hands-on experience with BoQ Web and BoQ GOA.

Experience working within large-scale technology environments.

Experience with Google technologies, platforms, or engineering ecosystems is a plus.

Experience developing AI/LLM-powered applications or agent-based systems.

Experience with modern web component architectures.

Experience designing high-performance, data-intensive applications.

Experience contributing to technical architecture while remaining hands-on with development
