Description

Develop and maintain backend services and system features using Java 11 and the Spring ecosystem.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Convert verbal and written requirements into technical specifications and system documentation.
• Design system feature diagrams and technical documentation.
• Develop and test applications using Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring AOP.
• Demonstrate newly developed technical features and systems to the operations team.
• Manage database interactions using JDBC, Hibernate, or MyBatis.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Java 11.
• Proficiency in Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring AOP.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong testing experience using JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, and Spring Integration testing.
• Extensive experience with database systems, specifically DB2.
• Hands-on experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate and MyBatis.
• Practical knowledge of JDBC and Java Transaction management.
• Familiarity with IBM MQ and Apache Kafka.
• Experience using IntelliJ IDEA, Jenkins, and SonarQube.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Azure Cloud computing and UML diagrams.
• Experience with JavaScript and HTML.
