Description

You will build and maintain Java integration services and applications within a banking environment, utilizing the Nedbank Framework. You own the full development lifecycle from design and planning to testing and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features through collaborative problem-solving.
• Execute performance optimizations and troubleshoot Java applications.
• Manage end-to-end application architecture and deployment automation.
• Deliver timely product engineering within an Agile (SCRUM) squad.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Java application programming and development experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Spring Framework and JEE.
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD, DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem (Data, Batch, Web Services, Integration, Rest, and Cloud).
• Experience with Hibernate and Object Oriented Design.
• Proficiency in SOA and Microservices architectures using SOAP/XML, REST, JSON, and MQ.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, DB2, and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB.
• Experience with application clustering, scaling, multi-threading, and session management in high-volume environments.
• Proficiency with Git, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, Eclipse, IntelliJ, and Spring Tool Suite.
