Description

Migrate legacy applications from classic ASP, VB6, and .NET Framework to modern ASP.NET Core architectures.

Responsibilities

• Extract business logic from VB6, VBScript, and T-SQL codebases to rebuild as full-stack ASP.NET Core applications.
• Design and develop Web API REST services and web pages using Razor Pages and MVC.
• Optimize large T-SQL scripts and migrate dynamic SQL to stored procedures.
• Debug ELT jobs and troubleshoot application errors using Visual Studio and browser developer tools.
• Document existing application features and new development processes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of programming experience.
• Proficiency in C#, VB6, VBScript, T-SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Experience with ASP.NET (.NET Framework and .NET Core) using Entity Framework or ADO.NET.
• Strong knowledge of ETL processing using SQL Server Integration Services, BCP.exe, and T-SQL Bulk Load.
• Experience with GIT source control and Visual Studio/SQL Management Studio.
• Front-end proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including jQuery or React.
• Solid understanding of database normalization, design patterns, and scheduled jobs via SQL Agent or Windows Scheduled Tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle APEX and PL/SQL integration.
