Description

You will design, implement, and optimize observability pipelines across distributed services using OpenTelemetry, Grafana OSS, and AWS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement OpenTelemetry instrumentation to capture metrics, logs, and traces.
• Optimize the observability stack using Grafana OSS, Loki, Mimir, and Tempo for scalability.
• Embed observability into CI/CD pipelines, driving dashboards-as-code and alerts-as-code.
• Automate telemetry collection, alerting, and enrichment to reduce operational overhead.
• Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and cloud teams to align observability with infrastructure delivery.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry instrumentation and development.
• Proven experience with the Grafana OSS stack: Loki, Mimir, and Tempo.
• Advanced AWS cloud experience for observability in distributed systems.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Shell, or Perl.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and orchestration tools like Jenkins and Terraform.
• Experience with data routing tools such as Cribl or FluentBit.
• Background in monitoring tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, or Zabbix.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating observability into legacy systems.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes monitoring patterns.
