Description

Migrate SAS programs from mainframe and server environments to Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Convert Base SAS code and models from mainframe/server to GCP.
• Develop SAS programs across SAS Mainframe, SAS Linux, and SAS Viya platforms.
• Conduct research and Proof of Concepts for migrating tools from SAS-based systems to GCP.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product owners using Lean, Agile, and XP practices.
• Mentor less-experienced peers and advocate for technical excellence through pairing and mobbing.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional development and administration experience.
• Google Cloud Platform, specifically BigQuery.
• SAS Viya programming on Linux.
• SAS 9.4 programming on Linux and Mainframe platforms.
• Mainframe technologies including JCL, COBOL, CA7, and DB2.
• Teradata experience.
• Python and shell scripting on Linux.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related scientific field.
