Description

You will build tooling and software for HMI simulation and development vehicles.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build tooling and software for HMI developers within simulation and development vehicles.
• Architect flexible software implementations in collaboration with system engineers.
• Negotiate APIs and integrate vehicle information into interfaces with autonomous-driving teams.
• Develop functional user interfaces by deriving requirements from designers, regulation, and engineering.
• Create software interfaces for new hardware alongside front end developers.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in C#, C++, Javascript, Python, and Linux development tools.
• Experience developing graphical interfaces and 3D simulation using Unity, OpenGL, or Qt.
• Strong understanding of networking, network protocols, and Linux server administration.
• Experience in automotive HMI software development.
• Experience processing raw sensor data including LIDAR, Radar, Camera, and CAN.
• Knowledge of automotive communication busses such as CAN and LIN.
• Application of software practices including automated testing, continuous integration, and code review.
• Experience working within an Agile environment.
• M.S. in Computer Science with 5 years of industry experience, or 10+ years of equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing Autosar compatible software applications.
• Basic understanding of electronics design, debugging, machine learning, or computer vision.
• Experience developing software that interfaces with hardware like haptic steering wheels or actuators.
