Description

You will own the development, maintenance, and optimization of WordPress multisite environments, ensuring security, performance, and accessibility compliance.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain WordPress multisite core, themes, and plugins.
• Build custom integrations using APIs and RESTful services.
• Implement performance, scalability, and security improvements, including patching.
• Manage deployment, testing, and release processes with the internal web services team.
• Monitor system performance and data integrity using New Relic and SolarWinds.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional web development experience.
• Strong expertise in WordPress, specifically multisite environments.
• Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and jQuery.
• Experience with Git or similar version control tools.
• Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1AA).
• Experience with APIs and RESTful services.
• Familiarity with DevOps monitoring tools like New Relic and SolarWinds.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with the Pantheon hosting platform.
• Experience in K-12 education or public sector environments.
