Description

You will own the technical direction and execution for mission-critical payments systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute software design, development, and troubleshooting using non-conventional approaches for complex problems.
• Produce secure, high-quality production code and lead code reviews and debugging efforts.
• Automate remediation of recurring issues to ensure application and system stability.
• Lead architectural evaluations with vendors and internal teams to assess technical applicability.
• Drive engineering communities of practice to increase awareness and adoption of new technologies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of applied experience in software engineering, system design, and application development.
• Advanced proficiency in Java with Spring Boot or an equivalent framework.
• Expertise in designing, developing, and supporting large-scale, high-throughput payments applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microservices and RESTful webservices development.
• Deep knowledge of Cloud Native Architecture and AWS, specifically Compute, Relational databases, NoSQL, and serverless designs.
• Experience with data streaming technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis.
• Proficiency with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Practical experience with CI/CD, automation, and continuous delivery methods.
• Comprehensive understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading vendor evaluations and architectural design sessions.
• Proven track record of driving engineering communities of practice.
