Description

Lead the end-to-end strategy, design, and execution of migrating approximately 1,200 servers and resident applications from on-premises data centers to the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute a comprehensive roadmap for cloud migration.
• Perform application assessments to determine suitability for cloud environments and guide code upgrades or shifts to PaaS.
• Collaborate with cloud vendors to implement best practices and ensure compliance with security and technology policies.
• Manage cloud environment budgeting and financial planning in coordination with team members.
• Lead the evaluation and implementation of disaster recovery solutions and oversee infrastructure design documentation.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience designing, developing, and executing cloud migration strategies.
• 10+ years of experience leading large-scale cloud migration efforts.
• 10+ years of experience operating and maintaining systems in the cloud.
• 10+ years of experience working with application teams to assess and upgrade applications for cloud migration.
• Deep understanding of both application and infrastructure architecture.
• Public sector experience.
• Ability to work 8am-5pm EST.

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years of experience training team members on cloud services.
