Description

You will design, create, and execute software tests to validate HIS software functionality and workflows. You own the quality assurance process from test planning through defect reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Execute manual test cases for functional, regression, end-to-end, negative, and usability testing.
• Analyze test execution results to identify abnormalities, report defects, and collaborate with developers to reproduce issues.
• Create test plans to communicate scope to product owners and stakeholders.
• Participate in scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, defect triage, and test reporting.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of Software Quality Assurance (SQA) testing or validation experience.
• Proven experience working within an Agile team using the Scrum framework.
• Hands-on experience testing applications implemented using Java, SQL, and JSON.
• Proficiency in Manual Testing, Smoke Testing, and Functional Testing.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience using Jira for defect tracking and management.
• Competency with Microsoft Office programs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience analyzing large healthcare datasets (claims, billing, informatics) and familiarity with HIPAA requirements.
• Experience working with HL7 messages.
• Experience using TFS or HP QC.
