Description

You will own the functional safety engineering lifecycle for complex systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers to collect and clarify functional safety requirements.
• Derive technical safety requirements from customer functional safety inputs.
• Create and maintain the functional safety concept.
• Contribute to optimized system architectures meeting the safety concept.
• Support product builds, launches, and investigations of functional safety issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in functional safety.
• Expertise in functional safety requirement derivation.
• Experience in conducting safety analysis, including FMEDA and calculating PMHF, SPF, and LFM metrics.
• Ability to generate and review safety cases.
• Experience interfacing with internal groups (System, Electrical, Mechanical, Validation, etc.) and external suppliers.
• Familiarity with integrating safety elements into DFMEA and manufacturing test specifications.
