Description

You will develop and maintain COBOL applications on the mainframe, ensuring efficient execution and reliable deployment. You own the full development lifecycle from design through integration testing and production release.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and debug COBOL programs using DB2, JCL, and Control-M.
• Troubleshoot software issues and resolve data errors to meet operational requirements.
• Analyze non-database functions and generate data summary reports.
• Prepare program-level and user-level documentation for all changes.
• Coordinate with users to obtain sign-off before production migration.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of COBOL development experience on Mainframe systems.
• Hands-on experience with JCL development and maintenance.
• Proficiency in DB2 database interaction and query optimization.
• Experience scheduling and managing jobs with Control-M.
• Strong analytical skills for debugging and data analysis.
• Ability to follow strict source code checkout and migration procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder sign-off.

Preferred Skills

• Java programming knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services.
• PostgreSQL database experience.
• Familiarity with Kofax document processing tools.
